61Crimean War 1855 (Mar.19th) entire; set from Camp Balaklava, Crimean Russia to Fettercairn ‘via Marseilles’, ms ‘Paid 3’ & strip of three 1d reds ‘T-G’ to ‘T-I’ tied by London cancels (37 in diamond) Black circular ‘Post Office/British Army/MR 19/1855’ on reverse, etc. Despite several faults (tears, generally grubby to face, small holes, etc.), extremely scarce & opens out into large sheet of double-written (one horiz., the other vert.) descriptive letter which has been partly transcribed and has some interesting bits of ‘news’.
